Wildlife: Donate Fur Coats to be Used with Wildlife

Donate Fur Coats to be Used with Wildlife

Many people find themselves in possession of a fur coat that they do not want. They may have decided to stop wearing fur, or they may have inherited a relative’s coat. Sometimes the coat is faux fur and is simply not needed any more. Whatever the reason or source, many of these people would like to find a way to dispose of the coat in a productive manner.

You are welcome to send your furs to HSUS. Through our Give Fur Back
to the Animals program, we collect all types of real or faux fur and
donate them to wildlife rehabilitators all around the country who use
the fur as bedding with their orphaned or injured wildlife.

Donating is easy. Simply pack up the fur in a sturdy box and mail to:

attn: Fur Free Century

and make sure to include your full name and address so I can mail you
a thank you later that you may use as a receipt for claiming a tax

For more information on the program and claiming a tax deduction, see
http://www.hsus.org/ace/12024 Please do not hesitate to call or email me with further questions.

I have available a few pictures that wildlife rehabbers have taken of
wildlife using the donated fur.
