Helping People - Helping Pets

Our Mission
Helping people help pets. To better the lives of sick, injured and abused companion animals. We are dedicated to insure that no companion animal has to be euthanized simply because their caretaker is financially challenged.

Our Achievements
Since 1998 hundreds of companion animals have been spared from euthanasia or lives filled with pain, with financial aid from IMOM. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been paid out to veterinarians and pharmacies nationwide. Please, we need your tax deductible donations so we can continue to help Pets in Need.

Visitors to our community forum are making new friends. The kind of friends who understand the bond between animals and people. Sometimes we laugh together and sometimes we cry together.

Animal abusers have been prosecuted for their crimes, live animal "dump bins" have been demolished and pet stores are being boycotted.

Rescued companion animals are being transported, nationwide, to loving homes by volunteers on IMOM-Xpress, while other IMOM volunteers are assisting in the care of diabetic pets.

Qualifying rescue organizations are receiving one-time grants from the LuvBug Fund. This fund was established in 2004 to pay a lasting tribute to my heart dog - LuvBug - a rescued Dalmatian.

In addition to The LuvBug Fund, which is a one-time grant, we have established special guidelines for rescue organizations to get financial aid.

We have established professional working relationships with approximately 500 veterinarians, nationwide.

Our Goals
To see a day when we never have to tell a financial aid applicant "we're sorry, but we have no funds available to help your pet". No animal should ever have to be euthanized because their person simply does not have the money to get necessary veterinary care to save its’ life.

To see a day when pet stores only sell food, toys and supplies because there are no more mills to supply them with companion animals.

To use our voices to educate the public to the horrors companion animals suffer every day, throughout our nation.

To educate on the importance of having companion animals spayed and neutered. It isn't only a question of over population. There are very serious, life threatening, illnesses your pets are subject to if not spayed or neutered.

Our Reason
This organization and all we do to "Help people help pets" is dedicated to the memory of my beautiful black cat Magic and to all of your pets who are at The Rainbow Bridge with him. They have left their paw prints on our hearts.

We care! About the animals and their people who love them.

On behalf of the animals, thanks for visiting IMOM. Please come back often because there is always something new here!
