SHARE is a network of animal SHelter And REscue groups in South Jersey and nearby areas.

In our region, there are lots of groups and individuals doing good work for animals, but most of us haven't been working with each other.

We all know how animals should be treated, and we strive mightily to improve the lives of animals. Between us, we have an incredible amount of knowledge, talent and dedication. But it's fragmented!

Can you imagine what we could do if we all worked together? Well, that's what SHARE is all about.

SHARE stands for SHelter And REscue. It is a coalition of folks trying to work together at least some of the time. Each group has its own opinions, leaders, methods and mission. But we can work together on some issues.

The idea is to SHARE our knowledge and ideas, form a network to make things happen, and seek solutions to problems that we SHARE.

This site has information on many different topics. Most of the information has come from readers who participate in SHelter And REscue or just care about animals, and most of the articles have appeared on the SHARE Yahoo Email Group. They are collected here in an easy to use format.

In addition to this web site, SHARE operates a Yahoo email group that sends out lots of individual emails (or a daily digest) of forwarded messages to subscribers.
