The Doggie Bag and Kitty Pack Gift Kit Program is a free program
that's designed to assist you in helping new pet owners get used to
the responsibilities of pet ownership.
The kits serve as a nice welcome gift from your shelter to adopting
families. Our only requirement is that you distribute one bag per
adopter, free of charge.
The program has been operating since 1991 and has received an
overwhelming response from the 2,000 shelters and humane societies
that currently participate nationwide. We invite you to enroll by

Gift bags are delivered prepacked, and ready for you to hand out to
adopters. Please Note: Contents of the kits change from time to time,
and specific items will differ from those depicted in the photo.
WHO PAYS FOR THE MATERIALS?
We're able to offer you the program completely free of charge (we
even pay for shipping) because it is funded by a select group of
company sponsors, who include their trial size samples in the gift
bags. The gift kits allow new pet owners the opportunity to try these
pet care products for free. You will never receive a bill or any
charge for participating, and you may cancel the program at any time
without cost or obligation.
WHAT ARE THE RULES?
Our only rule is that you must distribute only one kit per adoption
free of charge. There is also a name collection card inside each kit,
which we'd like pet owners to voluntarily complete to provide
feedback on the helpfulness of the materials. You can return the
cards to us in postage-paid bulk envelopes that we provide, or have
the adopters mail the cards to us directly. That�s all we ask!
HOW TO APPLY & HOW SHIPMENTS WORK
Simply complete & submit the application form. Only animal shelters
and humane societies based in the continental U.S. are eligible.
It is very important to give us accurate adoption numbers for your
puppies/dogs and kittens/cats, because your shipments are based on
these numbers. After we process your application, you'll receive
confirmation of your acceptance into the program. Gift kits will be
shipped to you via Fedex, completely prepacked. You'll receive either
one or two shipments each year, depending on your adoption numbers.
We pay all shipping charges, so there is no cost to you of any kind.
Once you are enrolled, you will continue to be eligible to receive
kits, unless you inform us otherwise. You will receive a request form
to update your adoption numbers once each year, which you must return
to us in order to remain eligible for the program. Otherwise, the
shipments are automatic, and always without charge. Remember, if you
ever need to cancel the program for any reason, you may withdraw from
it at any time without cost or obligation. Guaranteed!
FREE INTERNET LISTING
All participating shelters are eligible to place a free listing on
our http://www.NewPet.com web site. The listing will contain your shelter's
name, address, and phone number.
Potential adopters can run a search by zip code to find a shelter in
their area. When they see your listing, they will contact you
directly. This is a great way to get free publicity for your shelter.
