Veterinary (and other) license verification

Seeing the recent articles about an imposter "veterinarian"
and animal rescue operator in New Jersey prompts me to
remind that it is relatively easy to verify the license status
of veterinarians, and many other occupations, on line.

In Pennsylvania the URL for this is
http://www.licensepa.state.pa.us/

In New Jersey it is
http://www.state.nj.us/cgi-bin/consumeraffairs/search/searchentry.pl

and in Delaware it is https://dpronline.delaware.gov/mylicense%20weblookup/Search.aspx

Another site for professional license search in numerous states is
http://www.noah-health.org/en/usmd/state.html
In addition to license status, these sites usually indicate whether
any disciplinary actions have been taken against the person --
although generally not the details.

Alas, there does not seem to be a central site to check out the
legitimacy of shelter operations.
